Logistics freight is going to rise again, these companies announced price adjustments in September!
The three major shipping companies announced an increase in freight rates for European and Mediterranean routes, which will take effect in September!!!
1. Hapag-Lloyd raises freight rates in multiple locations
Hapag-Lloyd will implement an increase of US$800 in sea freight for 20' and 40' standard containers, including high containers (HC), from the Middle East and Pakistan to the ports of Rotterdam and London in Northern Europe. The new freight will take effect on September 1 and will be valid until September 14.
2. MSC freight rate increases in September
Starting from September 11th, MSC will increase the freight rates for all cargo on the routes between the Port of Antwerp and La Spezia and Australia/New Zealand.
3. CMA CGM freight rates increase in September
At the same time, CMA CGM will increase the FAK rates for standard containers, reefer containers and HC from northern Europe, the Baltic Sea, Scandinavia, the Western Mediterranean Sea, the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea to all ports in West Africa.
"Blank sailings" period
Maersk: It is strongly recommended that customers book containers as soon as possible!
According to foreign media, ocean carriers are considering starting a new round of blank sailings from Asia around the China Golden Week holiday in the first week of October to support their surge in the past year.
Maersk said that usually 3-4 weeks before the Golden Week holiday is the peak period of shipments. Although most ports, terminals and customs will still operate normally during the "11th" period, the carrier is likely to suspend shipping during this period. Therefore, it is recommended that customers book containers as soon as possible and plan the delivery time in advance.
